February Freezer Cooking Day Plan

Starting today through next Tuesday, Crystal from Money Saving Mom and Jessica from Life As Mom are hosting February Freezer Cooking Daze. I am sure you may be wandering what this is. In the past few months Crystal and Jessica have hosted on their blogs a "Once A Month Cooking Day" where they set one to two days aside and cook and bake like a mad woman for a couple of weeks' or a month's worth of food. You can see some of their past plans and outcomes for Crystal:hereandhere, for Jessica: here and here. I have contemplated joining them in the previous months but never have until now!

Since it is my first attempt I am going to probably have a smaller plan but I am excited about it nonetheless! I was a little concerned about how to plan and think for such a task but found this article on Freezer Day Planning by Jessica very helpful!

So what is my plan? This is what I plan to make between Saturday and Monday:

-1 loaf of banana bread
-2 batches banana chocolate chip muffins
-1 batch oatmeal raisin muffins
-2 grits casseroles
-beans for soups and sides
-2 spaghetti cheese pies
-2 green bean casseroles
-Sweet and Sour Chicken
-Pancakes

If you are interested in joining in check out the February Freezer Cooking Daze page on Facebook. Jessica has also posted several articles on there for reference and ideas! Also, you can link up your plan at Money Saving Mom and also be inspired by seeing what others are making! I would love for you to take part too!
