Moving Sale Like A Gazelle?
As I have shared earlier this week we have been preparing for a moving sale this week. Today we have been going through our yard sale checklist and checking it twice! As we have been going through items to put in our sale this weekend I have been particularly challenged by a quote from Dave Ramsey in The Total Moneymakeover. In describing the attitude to have toward getting out of debt, he says:
"Get gazelle-intense and sell so much stuff that the kids are afraid they are next. Sell things that make your broke friends question your sanity."
Gazelle-intense refers to single minded, focused intensity to deal with debt. So all day as we have been going through our things I have asked the question (especially if I have hesitation in putting it in the sale), "Are you being gazelle-intense?" Don't get me wrong material items can be hard to sell but we are trying desperately to be aggressive with our debt so we have to make the tough decisions. We have a late night ahead of us and an early morning tomorrow, but I look forward to sharing with you all the outcome of our sale!
In what ways are you being gazelle-intense in your life? I would love to hear and be inspired!
