We had a good savings week, mainly because we are Eating Out of the Pantry for this month.  I did do a little grocery shopping this week and here are the pics to show what we got:

Transaction 1:

6 packs of Activia yogurt $1.67 each
-(6) $1/1 mq
Final Price= $.67 each

2 cans Hunt's spaghetti sauce $1 each

1 package Southern Home Chicken Nuggets $3.99

2 bottles Green Works Laundry detergent $4.49 each (B1G1 price)
-(2) $3/1 IP from several months ago
Final Price= $1.49 each

Total before savings and coupons=$40.79
Total OOP after savings and coupons=$12.93($14.04 w/tax)
Savings of  68%

Transaction 2:

1 package of boys Easy Ups (Mega size)$8.49 Closeout
-$2/1 Easy Ups mailout
Final Price=$6.49

4 bottles of Hershey's Milkshakes $1 each
-(4) $.35/1 (doubled)
Final Price=$.30 each

Total before savings and coupons=$22.55
Total after savings and coupons=$7.69 ($8.36 w/tax)
Savings of  66%

We spent a total of $22.40 this week.  Our goal is to only spend $20 a week but I am a little flexible with this because our main goal is to eat down our food stock pile and frozen foods in the next month.

So how were your savings this week?  I would love to hear them!

  1. I'm eating out of the pantry this month too for the same reason LOL - I don't have any spending goals but I have two very full freezers that need to be thinned out and eaten up!
    Great work!

  2. Thanks Cherie for the encouragement! It is so fun to hear when others are doing the same! It does feel great to have so much great food that you don't have to have full shopping trips. Thanks for stopping by!
